UGGGH!! I totally blew this one, so annoying, I totally froze and couldn't do it. The longer I sat there trying to get myself to do it the more my hands started shaking and everything else. I ended up having to call one of the neighbors who is a nurse, and she did it for me. I still can't figure out why I did that I mean I did last weeks all by myself!!

Anyway he did fine with it, he had his tylenol and his sucker after so he was all good. He had another slight fever last night before he went to bed. 99.4. (I thought that this was supposed to go away after the first few shots!) :P

Ok so I’m a horrible daughter and just figured out that it was my mother’s bday today!!!! Dang it!!! I will have to call her in the morning.

Ethan is crankier than cranky so I’m going to post this quickly, nothing special just hubby’s boat that is sitting outside in the snow (we won’t mention that he forgot to cover it with the boat cover :P)

It’s still super cold, it warmed up to -10 but windy so who knows how cold it really is. Ok I’ll be back tomorrow with better pics

Sooo Here’s my pics for the 30th 31st, and 1st............so I started a little early LOL!

OMGOSH!!!! and call me insane (cause I was seriously thinking I was, but todays pictures I actually was out late last night in this!!) EEEK!!!

In case you can't see that it says -25F!!!! Is that nuts or what! That would explain why my hands where hurting so bad that they felt like I had grabbed the oven rack or something after the oven had been on! Man I didn’t know it was that cold!

Ethan had to get another shot yesterday, I ended up giving it myself again. I hate doing it I get all shakey and it makes me feel sick! At least all he got from it was a slight fever,99.3, doesn’t seem to have any body aches or anything else. He’s been going since 7:30 this morning. Yuck I have to be up that early on a Saturday! That is just so wrong! Oh and no Becky or Patty!

Yep my baby boy turns 3 years old today!! Hard to believe he is that old!! It sure doesn't seem like he should be. We will wait to have his party til after Christmas, so we have time to get everything done that we need to get done this week. :P

I feel like a total scrooge cause I'm so not in the Christmas spirit, this year it's been so hectic and everyone is having money issues. It just doesn't FEEL like Christmas YKWIM. Totally sucks being worried about getting everyone something and haveing money issues! Doesn't help that as they get older they want more expensive stuff, Melissa's list was a truck, so not happening, a video camera, cell phone, laptop computer, clothes, something called Ugh boots, expensive purfume, Clothes!! Like good grief child!!

Ethan had his shot on Friday, we ended up waiting until Steve got home, and even then put it off until 7:30. It was soo funny cause Ethan kept asking when do I get my shot, when do I get my shot I want a sucker!! Then he would drag me into the back room and show me where his box of shots is. Of course while Daddy was mixing it he came over and sat by me and covered his legs. He wanted the sucker but he really wasn't wanting that shot!

No real side affects from it this time, I had to get up @ 4 in the morning to take his temp and give him some more tylenol, he did have a low grade temp 99. But he got up @ 7 and was his normal starving self and no fever. I hope and pray this is actually working for him!! I just HATE putting him through all this if it's for nothing!! I've been getting extremely nervous about our trip back to DC. Scared to see the results I guess, to me it doesn't seem like his tumors in his neck and arm have grown much but I see him every day so I don't know that I can tell.

We have a busy day today, Steve just got off work this morning, he'll sleep for a couple hours and then we have a housewarming party in Anchorage to go to. I love visiting with Autumn and Chan, it's be a long time since we've seen them too! Chan had another baby boy, he's 5 months old now. Hubby grew up with them and has so many stories. They interact like siblings, it's so funny. At 6 I'm supposed to meet with Alexa and sign the contract for her wedding!

MY DAUGHTER IS SOOOOO DEAD MEAT!!!!

A little background, my daughter knows she is not allowed to get into a car with anyone, ANYONE! Without clearing with us. Let me say that again ANYONE!!!! She has been told soo many times NEVER, NEVER, NEVER to ride with a teenager, and that when she gets her license she is not allowed to drive anyone around!

This morning, during her school lunch the little idiot got in the car with her boyfriend's best friend, and the boyfriend, for what I'm not sure. (let me mention here that the boyfriends friend is on his provisional license and therefor not ALLOWED to drive his friends around!!!) I'm guessing that they where going to get lunch. Well anyway the little moron took the on ramp too freaking fast (the roads are slicker than crap) Ending ROLLING the truck FOUR FREAKING TIMES!!! Police where called paramedics checked the kids out cleared them to go back to school. NOT ONCE during any of this was I called NOT ONCE!!! Not by my daughter who knows by now that she is is sooo damn much trouble its not even funny, and not by the responding officers or anything. I hear it from the school security, who calls to tell me that my daughter was involved in a "minor" incident today during lunch. MINOR!!! So here I'm thinking oh she got caught in a fight and was pushed down or something (I'm thinking minor) Then she goes on to tell me the whole story! Then I'm thinking UMMM WTH do you consider MAJOR!!! HELLO!!!! She did say that the students including Melissa had tried to call and let us know what happened....EXCUSE ME?!!?! NO one called us not our house phone not any one of our cell phones which where ALL on. I reveived one phone call this morning from FOCUS thats it, oh and one text message from Patty.

I really hope Travis's parents nail his scrawny little butt!!!! I am VERY thankfull that everyone was ok!!! VERY!! HOWEVER I AM PISSED!!! WHAT was she thinking!! I mean really! She just thinks I'm blowing smoke when I tell her these things, I sure hope that she thinks twice about this and remembers the next time she goes to get in a car with someone she knows she isn't supposed to. Though I'm not sure she will, just the simple fact that she didn't call tells me she's hiding it from us.

She has one just ONE chance to tell us what happened when she walks in the door in an hour and a half. JUST one! I don't know what to do with this kid!!

That's what I just had to drop at the Vet! OMG!! I wanted so bad for it to be a bad dream!!! Talk about take a huge chunk out of the Christmas budget :( I was so upset I just went to my room when I got home, totally depressing!

At least I have yummy CT products to work with and don't have to blow much of the money there. Kristen came out with a fabulous new kit @ After5

We Didn't give Ethan his shot on Monday this week, I called and talked to Cyndi and she said moving it to Fridays when he doesn't have school would be the best. So our little guy will get his shots on Fridays now. Hopefully that will be better and he won't be so cranky in school this week.
Yesterday he did ok the teacher said, a little fussy and he kept asking when Mommy was coming to get him but other than that did ok. He still participated. I was glad cause on the drive there he kept crying and carrying on that he wanted to go home, and he didn't like school. He was not happy to be going!
Well I'm off to get my guys some food. Today is Ethan's first time riding the bus!! We have to take him down the street to catch it though :P

ARRGGG!!! My poor dog has a really bad ear infection, and I can't get anyone to see him except the Pet ER place, and that's only so they can charge me an arm and leg!! I found some ear drops that see to have helped him out though, he's been sleeping for the last several hours. He looks so pitiful though, we had to get him one of those lamp shade looking things so he would stop scratching, he had his poor ear bloody! At first he wandered around crashing into everything , he still hasn't figured out how to eat though, I keep having to take it off so he can get something to eat and drink. Poor pup!!

OMGOSH! I got the most exciting PM at DST yesterday!! Kristen Rice asked me to join her CT!!!! YAY!!! She's selling at A5D!! I'm so excited! I did my first page with a new kit that's coming out on the 16th. I've only done a few pages in the last few days. My buddies aren't around so being on the computer just isn't as much fun :P

Preschool, 6th shot & tree decorating!!!

My little guys FIRST day of preschool! I thought for sure they would have him wait until he turned 3 but nope! He started on Monday. So far it's been a bit stressful.
He cried a lot on Monday after we left him, basically the whole time... poor teachers!
Tuesday, every time I moved towards the door he screamed bloody murder. Me being a big softy I ended up staying the whole day :P
Today he got to ride in Daddy's truck, that's a big treat! So we thought we would try having Dad drop him off and see if that was better. It actually did! He cried a bit after Steve left but the teacher said he had a MUCH better day. She said he participated and interacted with the other kids. He got to go outside and make snow angels and he brought home a fish he "made" he was extremely proud of that!
I hate to throw him off track but tomorrow he has OT and I don't want him to miss that. So he is off til Monday.

Monday he also got his 6th Shot! WOW! We made it to 6 weeks! I have to remember to make him an appointment to do his blood work and check up with the doctor. Keeping my fingers crossed that all the numbers are up where they are supposed to be and he can continue! He did great this time, Daddy gave him the shot and he didn't cry much, still doing the stiffening up thing though. NO fevers!! At all!!! WOOOOHOOOO!!! Of course the fact that I gave him Motrin before the 8 hour mark might have something to do with it.

The kids and I got the tree out while Steve was at work and got it all set up and ready for him to do the lights. Bad me! I was bad and moved furniture and heavy boxes while I was still healing from surgery :P The Kids had a blast getting out all the decorations and putting everything on there, we rotate the kind of tree we do every year, this year we didn't do the theme tree, the kids got to put all of their ornaments, it was fun seeing all the old ornaments, Melissa pulled out her first Christmas ornament, it was amazing to me that she has grown so much!! Time sure does fly! Didn't get many good pictures, too dark, and since I hate the whole flashy look I had to up the ISO :P

In other news I'm actually feeling pretty good, no pain meds today, and I've been busy all day, got the Christmas tree pulled out and put up, all the Christmas decorations out. Need to get this place cleaned up a bit more but I ran out of steam! :P

Finally got my surgery done and out of the way!! After 5 or so years I might miss my little lump, HAHA! NOT! I promised Kathy this summer that I would get it taken care of before the end of the year so I snuck in just in time! WTG me!

Surgery lasted all of about an hour, in and out. Woke up and they booted me out. I officially HATE IV's! I drank water last night until I was practically floated and still this morning when they tried to get an IV in they had to stick me twice..... well 4 times if you count the numbing stuff, that stuff burns! My anesthesia guy was the one that ended up putting my IV in, that was a little different but the nurse just could not find a vein! :P

We will see how I feel tomorrow, right now the meds have the pain down to a dull burning sensation. I think Dustin's bday party is tomorrow though so I'm not going to be able to take the meds then cause I gotta drive. Fun Fun! But I don't want to miss his party. He's turning 7!! Wow where does the time go!

Ok and anyone that knows me KNOWS I LOVE hunting moose to photograph!! The kids and I found two the other day, here's a few photos of them, it was amazing they where like play fighting and I'd never seen anything like that before!!!

What Happened!

To my sweet little boy anyway..........He's been replaced by and evil grouchy little brat!!!! ARRRGGG!!! So far this morning he's had crying fits over not getting to open his go-gurt not getting to eat his it out of the pouch, having to sit at the table while eating it. Not getting to peel his own banana, having to put his crackers in a bag because he ripped the little bag they came in :P I hope he returns to his normal cheerful self before I have to ship him off to Becky or Patty, just cause I KNOW they need another kiddo LOL!!

Ethan had shot number 5 on Monday! It totally Sucked cause Steve got called in for overtime that morning and neither one of us remembered that Ethan had to have his shot @ 11. Well I managed to do it all by myself! Yay me! LOL! Just burrito wrapped him up so that he couldn't slap at the needle again, it was quick easy and painless, well maybe not painless for Ethan.... He did really well this time, no fevers at least that I know of, he did wake up at 5 in the morning wanting water, he felt a bit warm but that could have been because he was covered with two blankets, a fever that many hours after the shot isn't normal so I don't know.

I got to take some pictures for my neice and nephew this weekend, they drove out on the scarey roads :P
Josh got stuck at the bottom of our hill, his car isn't AWD and he couldn't get enough of a running start to get up the hill. So we had to borrow a tow strap from the neighbor (TG for neighbors that actually have this stuff!) and I towed him all the way up the hill. We went down to the creek and took photos. I was really bummed most of them didn't turn out very well but I did have a few that I liked. I hope Rhonda loves them since we where doing them for her b-day!

There are a few others that turned out good but these where my favorites!

And Mommy did it this time!!! OMG! What a horrible experience! Hopefully next time will be better! First I wasn't to sure about poking him to begin with but then I thought hubby was holding his arms down but he wasn't and the little turkey knocked it out in the process scratching the heck out of his poor little leg and traumatizing his mommy!! Then of course because he didn't get all the medication he had to be stuck again to finish it (Daddy did it that time) UGGGH!! My poor baby!

He seems to be doing ok this time, about an hour and a half ago he seemed to be starting to run a little higher than normal temp, kinda laying around like he does when it goes up, so we gave him some motrin and it went back down and he is up playing again. Running around getting into things and currently "washing" everything with the baby wipes that he got into.

Been busy making pages with the gorgeous new kits that have been coming out!! I am so lucky to create for such talented designers!!

And oooh did it ever drag on!!! Emily stayed home sick twice last week from school, and spent the whole weekend sick and miserable. Unfortunately with someone always being sick Ethan seems to have caught a bit of it. He keeps coughing!!! I'm worried that the dr will say he has to have more blood work done!! :P Poor kids I keep pumping them full of vitamin C and Airborne....hope it works!!!

My sister is pregnant, Due the 8th of December. Living in Haines they send you to Juneau about a month before you are due, they don't deliver babies there. Well she was sent to Juneau and during one of her ultrasounds they found that the baby has some heart/lung problems. She was medevaced out to Seattle earlier this evening. We are waiting to find out what will happen. The dr in Juneau said that they will do an emergency c-section and the baby will possibly have to have surgery right away. I'm so scared for her! She has no one with her, my mom stayed in Juneau with my little nephew to bring him home and her hubby won't be able to get to Seattle until tomorrow afternoon sometime.... Praying that everything goes well!!! I don't want her to be alone but there is no way I can get down there
A friend of mine was nice enough to offer to pay for me to go, but hubby says we just can't do that, I know he is right but I really want to be there for her..... I will be anxiously awaiting a phone call from BIL to let me know what they are going to do with Sis

Ethan got his third shot this morning, weird how he had no problems at all with the last shot but this time he spiked a fever of 103.1. After tylenol and motrin it came down very quickly though and he is up playing away. He fell asleep on the couch and would NOT wake up til after 7, so it will be late night for us :P
Hopefully he doesnt get anymore fevers tonight but Im going to have to set my alarm to get up and check on him.

Seriously I'm wondering what is up with our family, we have not had it good the last few years, first SIL had cancer, then MIL, then hubby, then MIL again. Then Ethan's problems with his NF & Now MIL is having so many problems with her health. She is STILL in the hospital and not doing so well, she's had 4 units of blood in the last two days, but for some reason her BP is very low and thats why she is having the passing out issues. Add my sister and the baby's medical problems and I'm at my wits end!! I wonder if I will ever know what it feels like to not be stressed out!!! It's no wonder my BP was high last week at my dr appointment!!

Yay!! Ok well I do pages all the time, but this is one I did with a charity kit that I bought! I love how it turned out!
Emily and Dustin have been friends since they where tiny babies. Dustin is 6 months older than Emily so he is turning 7 in just a few weeks! We don't see them as often as we used to now, Dustin's mom is busy with her daycare and her hubby is working away studying for tests and getting school work done so it's hard to make myself go over and bug them :P

Ethan has to have his shot again tomorrow :( I really hope this is working for him! It does seem like he has less pain from the ones in his arm and shoulder than he used to but I wonder if that's me wanting him to or him actually having less pain. He is sleeping better though, he used to wake up several times a night crying, now he sleeps!!

On a side note why are men such idiots!!! I'd like to just smack hubby sometimes!!! I honestly don't understand how he thinks and justifies things the way he does!! :P It hasn't been a fun weekend at all!! On top of the fact that MIL was taken to the ER with blood clots in her leg, then sent home then taken back in the ambulance after passing out, she has spent 2 nights in the hospital now... Hubby has been an ass and we have been "fighting" meaning the silent treatment and him being pissy with me cause I'm upset that he keeps doing this thing that hurts my feelings. Now he thinks we are a ok and I'm still pissed cause nothing has changed NOTHING it will happen agian in a few weeks/months!! ARRRRGGG!!

YAY!!! Ethan did awesome last night, no high fevers or anything!! He got his shot at about 1:30, about 9 hours later he was a tad warm but never more than 99.3.
It's obviously doing something because it's after 7 and he's still sleeping!!
Poor Steve gave him the shot again, after he mixed it and pulled out the dose he looked at it and decided there was a bubble in there so he put it back in and redid it.....not a good thing to do cause apparently that dulls the needles. Live and learn I guess!

Well Ethan had his first dose yesterday, as they told us about 8 hours later he started in with the fever, it wasn't a high one or even really a noticeable one until about 10 when we put him to bed, then it shot up to 103. At 11:30 when I finally got to bed he was still running 101 so I had to give him the Motrin also. Poor little guy! Got up twice during the night to check his temp but all was well! (Thanking God that he didn't get the throwing up part that is also a common side effect!)

Today started off really well, no fever and feeling quite happy. Just before nap time he started whining about hurting though, not sure if that is the medication or just him being tired and grumpy. I did give him more tylenol just to be sure though.

Steve took us out to lunch at Applebees, (I love anywhere that I don't have to cook) although their food sure looks a lot better on tv then it actually tastes! After we ate we got to go shopping at our very own TARGET!!!! They just opened up last month so it's still a novelty. :D

OMG Natali Designs came out with new stuff!!! I'm so mad at her (LOL!) and here I thought I was done shopping!!! This kit is GORGEOUS and I couldn't resist! So yet another kit that I have to use LOL!!!

Home From DC

We got home just in time for NDSD!!! Yay! I got several fabulous kits and received a couple AWESOME RAKs!!! Now to get busy and make some pages!!

Our trip went well I guess, not like we wanted but everything worked out in the end. Poor Ethan had to endure having his blood drawn once the first day, twice the second day, and once the last day we where there (and they didn't always get it the first stick) My poor baby had one VERY bruised up arm!! On the first blood test his hemoglobin was low, second and third test his complete Nutrafill count (part of the white blood cell count??) was low, then finally on the day we flew home his test came back with everything where it should be. So we where able to enroll him in the study!! TG! We had a few tense moments with his screwy blood work!

I was super bummed we didn't get to get out and see the sites or take Ethan to the zoo. We where stuck in that dang hospital for the most part. We did get out one night and take the subway to downtown Bethesda, we walked around a bit but it was FREEZING! Not as cold as home though!

This is the NIH Hospital! We spent most of our time here, getting blood drawn, and waiting for blood work to come back :P

The Childrens Inn! Can't say enough good things about this place!! It's just gorgeous inside and HUGE!!! They are set up a lot like a Ronald McDonald house

It's off to Maryland!!

OMG! I'm so nervous and scared for my little guy!! We are going to Maryland so he can go to the NIH hospital and start on a drug trial. His tumors have had a 20% growth in the last year, that amazes me since his doctors here have said a slight growth for each MRI he's had here. I just pray that this medication doesn't have harsh side effects for him and that it works and his tumors will finally shrink.
I'm terrified of learning how to give him his shots, he will have to have one once a week for 16 weeks! That's 4 Months of mom jabbing him with a needle. *shudder* I get goose bumps & icky feeling just thinking about it!

I did get the house cleaned up a bit, well quite a bit, I'm a horrible housekeeper always have been even before finding digital scrapping. But my MIL is going to come out and stay here with the older kiddos and get them off to school. Thank God for family! I don't know what we would do without her and Carl!
